PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
The Beluga whale have body that is fusiform shape, but robust and stocky at the same time and may have thick folds of blubber along its ventral surface. They are usually white in colour. There is a sudden tapering on the base of its neck that gives it the appearance like having a shoulder. The tailfin becomes more curved as the animal grow older. The flippers are broad and short.
BEHAVIOR
They are known to generally live in a small group called pods. Beluga whales are social animal and are very vocal. They use a diverse sounds or language such as clicks, whistle and clangs. They usually hunt in groups and are very coordinated. They are curious animal and often show great curiosity towards human in the wild and captivity. They are playful and can be seen playing with objects that they found in water such as wood, plants and bubbles that they created.
